Notice of CHange of Implementation Dates Regarding Controlled Wood
The FSC International Board of Directors has approved the FSC International Center’s proposal to extend the deadline for compliance with the FSC Controlled Wood requirements for new certificate holders to January 1st, 2007.
The original date for implementation by new certificate holders was initially set at January 1, 2006, but was revised upon recommendation by the FSC Controlled Wood working group.
Therefore, the effective date for FSC-STD-40-004 (chain-of-custody for companies supplying and manufacturing FSC-certified products), FSC-STD-40-005 (FSC standard for non FSC-certified controlled wood), and FSC-STD-30-010 (FSC standard for forest management enterprises for non FSC-certified controlled wood) will all be January 1st, 2007, for both new and existing chain-of custody-certificate holders.
