2023 FSC Leadership Awards Nominations Open

Do you know a company, organization, or person doing exemplary work to bring responsible sourcing and forest management to life? Now is the time to highlight these forward-thinking efforts and inspire others to act!

Every organization uses forest products, with many hands touching them along the path from forest to end user. From living trees to final products, the opportunity to drive an approach to forest management that protects more biodiversity, sequesters more carbon, and provides equitable jobs for people across the supply chain abounds. Plus, consumers are demanding sustainability.

In 2022, a broad and diverse pool of nominees yielded a group of winners that displayed excellence in their approaches.

From mass timber projects like 1 De Haro and the new Portland Airport main terminal, to those in the printing industry like Greenerprinter and HP, Inc; to massive tech companies like Google, and smallholder community forest enterprises in the ejido system in the rainforests of southeastern Mexico; consumer brands like toy-maker Melissa and Doug and outdoor retailer REI; forest managers F&W, Hyla Woods, and the Longleaf Alliance, the many hands touching our precious forest resources are showcased.

The 2023 FSC Leadership Awards will recognize excellence in the use of FSC-certified products, materials, and commitment to responsible forest management across industries, as well as in advocacy, conservation and individual leadership in the FSC community.

Eligible categories for people, projects and organizations in Canada, Mexico and the United States include the following:

  • Design & build project – Commercial, institutional, mixed-use or residential real estate development, or furniture or other product design completed in 2020, 2021 or 2022 and utilizing at least 50% FSC-certified materials for wood products.
