Two Dozen FSC Certificate Holders to Exhibit at Premier Green Building Event
The US Green Building Council’s (USGBC) GreenBuild Conference and Expo continues to be the most significant annual, national event that brings professionals in the commercial and residential building markets to one place to learn about green building products.
Last year’s GreenBuild Expo in Atlanta, GA, opened its doors to nearly 10,000 attendees and more than 400 exhibitors from around North America and the world. Now in its fifth year, GreenBuild Expo 2006 will be held in Denver, CO, from November 15-17, 2006.
GreenBuild is a particularly significant event for FSC, as the inclusion of FSC in the “certified wood credit” in the LEED certification program has been very influential in driving the demand for FSC-certified products in the building and construction sector.
As in past years, FSC-US and Forest Products Solutions have secured several booths that constitute the “FSC Certified Wood Pavilion,” allowing conference attendees to view and ask questions about FSC-certified products in one convenient location at the expo. The Pavilion is a great way to gain exposure for FSC certificate holders at this hugely popular show.
FSC-US will again present its annual Designing & Building with FSC award at an evening reception during the conference. Last year’s award was presented to Goldman Sachs & Co. in front of a lively crowd of more than 200 people, and was featured in green building media outlets for several months afterward. This year’s award winner will be announced just prior to the conference.
