Brazilian FSC Trade Fair
Event To Bring Together Manufacturers And Purchasers Of FSC Products In Brazil
The second bi-annual Certified Brazil Trade Fair will be held in São Paulo from April 18-20, 2006. The Certified Brazil Trade Fair is an event organized by Imaflora, FSC Brasil and Imazon that brings together communities and producers of timber and non timber forest products certified according to the FSC standards. Suppliers of FSC certified products from the entire Latin American continent and buyers from the five continents will be in attendance. Besides generating business opportunities, the Fair will demonstrate the quality and variety of products carrying the FSC label.
Expected attendees include forest products buyers, interior decorators, designers, architects, engineers and building contractors, retailers, media representatives, and general consumers from São Paulo, other Brazilian states, and from the rest of the world. In 2004, the first Certified Brazil Trade Fair brought together 50 producers from Brazil and Latin America, as well as more than 4000 buyers and visitors form 27 countries.
Certified Brazil is a long term strategy with the objective of creating market linkages and business opportunities between certified products buyers and producers from Latin America and the rest of the world.
