FSC US hosted a field day with Duke University at Duke Forest in North Carolina, gathering forestry-professionals, sustainability specialists, and land-managers to explore certification as a tool not just for timber production but for strengthening watershed health, ecosystem services, and regenerative forest-management.

The conference highlighted that for the Living Building Challenge, only certified- or onsite-harvested wood qualifies — and FSC-certified wood is the only pre-harvest certification accepted. 
 

Attendees explored how FSC-certified wood can play a central role in regenerative building, including featured case studies like the Theodore Roosevelt Public Library aiming for full Living Building Challenge and LEED Platinum certification.

At FSC US’s involvement in SF Climate Week 2025, the organisation engaged investors, tech firms and climate-leaders to position responsible forest stewardship as a credible nature-based climate solution.
