Hasbro and its Wizards of the Coast division are merging play with purpose, using their business as a force for good to build vibrant and inclusive communities. Since 2022, Hasbro has been offering FSC®-certified products and has a growing portfolio of paper- and wood-based games and toys (FSC-N004089). Last year, Hasbro was awarded a 2024 FSC Leadership Award for their Life in Reterra board game, the first board game to ever win this prestigious award.

To celebrate Earth Day 2025, Wizards of the Coast is making a big splash with DUNGEONS & DRAGONS (D&D). Following its 50th anniversary, D&D continues to be a widely popular tabletop role-playing game loved by fans around the world.

In collaboration with one of their dice partners, Sirius Dice, they have launched an FSC®-certified wood dice vault. Made from responsibly sourced oak, the wood dice vault is the perfect product for those that want to transport their D&D dice, miniatures, and other accessories in responsibly sourced style.

Not only is the product FSC-certified, but the purchasing of this product also directly supports reforestation efforts. Through a partnership with One Tree Planted, Sirius Dice will donate $10 for every wood dice vault sold to support the planting of 10 trees. Throughout the production run, Wizards of the Coast and Sirius Dice estimate the impact of this project will support the planting of thousands of trees.

Hasbro’s Corporate Sustainability Manager, Ian Gaudreau, describes: “An FSC-certified product that also plants trees just makes sense. FSC-certification is critical to ensuring the product carries a reputable certification that confirms the wood material is responsibly sourced. We pair that with a philanthropic organization that plants trees, and you end up with a full-circle moment that drives impact. This product emphasizes our company values of being a responsible steward for the environment, encouraging play, and leaving the world we play in a better place”.

These types of initiatives are not new to Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast. In 2024, they launched a Pride Dice Set that supported the Trevor Project, as well as a Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair set to benefit the American Cancer Society.
