In response to growing attention on how environmental claims are used in the market – and in the context of evolving global anti-greenwashing legislation – FSC has conducted a comprehensive review of our trademarks and claims system.
As a result, FSC is taking two important actions to improve brand management and ensure clear, consistent communication:
- The “Forest For All Forever” (FFAF) brand mark will be phased out for all license holders.
- Promotional panel designs will be removed for Promotional License Holders (PLHs). PLHs will still be able to promote with the FSC logo, but not with the promotional panel predefined design.
Implementation timeline:
- For certificate holders, the phase-out will be implemented in the upcoming FSC‑STD‑50‑001, scheduled for publication in January 2026.
- For promotional license holders, the changes will be reflected in the FSC Trademark Use Guide for Promotional License Holders, expected mid‑2026.
Webinars for license holders
To support stakeholders through this transition, FSC will host webinars where license holders can learn more about the changes, timelines and support available.
