Additional Comment Period for the Appalachian Standard
The FSC-U.S. Standards Committee reviewed the Appalachian Standard in October and has provided an additional one-month public review period, open until December 6th. Approval of the Appalachian standard by the FSC-U.S. Board is expected in early 2003.
In addition, the Mississippi Alluvial Valley (MAV) standard is currently out for public comment ending December 6th with endorsement by the FSC-U.S. Board also expected in early 2003.
These standards have been developed by each respective regional working group and once public comments have been considered and assimilated, the final standards will be submitted to the FSC Board for approval. These will be the last of the nine regional standards submitted.
