FSC US Hits the Ski Slopes in Partnership with NSAA

The FSC US is partnering with the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) to promote the use of FSC-certified products at ski resorts across the country. NSAA promotes sustainability and enhanced environmental performance at member ski areas through their Sustainable Slopes program.
Sustainable Slopes and its associated Environmental Charter promote energy efficiency, habitat protection, and responsible natural resource use via a set of 21 environmental principles. Ski resorts depend on a wide variety of wood and paper products, from building materials to trail maps and lift tickets to skis and snowboards themselves, all of which are available as FSC certified. The incorporation of FSC into the Sustainable Slopes program will help ensure that over 300 member resorts nationwide are informed and able to do their part in protecting forests for future generations.
