Indigenous Peoples’ Rights highlighted at Conference

On August 17-18th, over 200 people participated in the joint National Aboriginal Forestry Association and FSC Canada conference Indigenous Peoples and FSC Certification.

The two-day conference provided an opportunity for people to learn more about Indigenous People’s Rights in the FSC system (FSC Principle 3) and forest certification and to provide input into the strategic direction of developing a national standards process for Boreal forests. Proceedings from the conference are available on www.fsccanada.org/IP_conference/
