20th Anniversary: Nominations for FSC Leadership Awards

Thank you to all of the companies, large and small, who have submitted nominations for the FSC Leadership Awards thus far. We are energized by the passion we see across FSC-certified and affiliated companies and look forward to reading more entries as they come in!

The Forest Stewardship Council US invites all US or Canada-based FSC-certified companies, trademark license holders and members to submit nominations for the FSC Leadership Awards.
These awards recognize the excellence, innovation and creativity of FSC-certified companies in North America; companies committed to maintaining forests for future generations.
The awards honor FSC certificate and trademark license holders who are based in the US or Canada and are committed to creating a marketplace that promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically prosperous management of the world's forests. We will recognize individuals, companies and "uncommon partnerships" between companies and/or organizations.
Winners will be announced at the Design & Build with FSC Awards Ceremony at Greenbuild 2014 in New Orleans, during the week of October 22-24, 2014.
This year, to celebrate our 20th Anniversary, 10th Annual Design & Build Awards and first ever Leadership Awards, we are growing the party by organizing festivities with the Green Sports Alliance. The Alliance has been wildly successful at advancing sustainability in professional sports and now represents all seven leagues, over 100 teams and 100 facilities in their efforts.
Nominations for the FSC Leadership Awards will be listed on the FSC US website and awards will be presented during the reception at Greenbuild.

There are two possible submission options. Please choose either a) or b) below.
a) Tell us your FSC story. How and why did you become FSC-certified? How have you impacted your supply chain or forest management? Have you had unique marketing campaigns related to your FSC-certified products? We are open to any and all creative expressions of your experience. Examples of leadership include corporate-wide commitments, a long-standing history of FSC-certification, a unique FSC-certified product launch, exemplary forest management, partnerships with family forest owners, and more.
b) Tell us about your uncommon partnership - a campaign, event or project you completed in tandem with another company or organization brought about by your common interest in FSC and responsible forest management.
Provide 3-5 photos of your operations as they pertain to FSC. This could include images of your forestland, paper manufacturing process, FSC-certified products, or other related materials. High-resolution (~1mb or larger file size) digital images in .jpg format are preferred.
Applications are due by Friday, August 15, 2014.
