HP Makes Big Commitment to FSC

On April 16,2013, HP announced that 100 percent of their Everyday Office Papers are now FSC certified (FSC-C0175432011) throughout North America. HP is working with long-time ally International Paper (IP) to use fiber from FSC-certified forests. More than 40 percent of HP’s total tonnage worldwide is now FSC certified or contains at least 30 percent post-consumer recycled fiber. HP’s goal is grow that number to 50 percent by the end of 2015.

In its announcement, HP noted that, “FSC has earned a global reputation as one of the most rigorous and credible independent certification standards available for ensuring that products come from responsibly managed forests.”
