Continuing Education Unit about FSC

While LEED v4 is still under development, FSC’s leadership within the program appears to be secure.

Projects will be able to select LEED 2009, with MRc7(Certified Wood Credit) until 2015, so which ever standard is used, architect swill many have opportunities to earn LEED credit through specification of FSC-certified products.

To support these efforts, FSC worked with Environmental Design & Construction magazine to develop a Continuing Education Unit (CEU) that is registered with both the American Institute of Architects and the Green Building Certification Institute.

The CEU is designed to provide background about forest certification and FSC, and also to help architects use FSC-certified products in green buildings. Architects can meet requirements for continuing education by taking a short quiz at the end of the CEU.

Environmental Design & Construction is the official magazine of the LEED professional, and the November 2012 issue with the FSC CEU was also distributed for free to all attendees at Greenbuild.

To read the CEU, visit the ED&C publication viewer or CEU library (free registration required).

Special thanks to Jason Grant and C.C. Sullivan for developing the CEU.
