PA has 35 FSC COC Certified Companies
Pennsylvania has 35 FSC Chain-of-Custody certified companies, selling everything from doors to mousetraps. Here are some interesting examples:
A global leader in furniture design and manufacturing, Knoll Inc. of East Greenville, PA was certified by Scientific Certification Systems on January 13th of this year. All of Knoll’s unique furniture designs in wood for the office and the home can now be specified to be FSC-certified—including the furniture collection designed for Knoll by Frank Gehry. Martin is currently producing four different guitar models utilizing certified wood, each of different body sizes. They include cherry, basswood and hard maple, all grown in PA and purchased from Kane Hardwood, and also import some (Mexican) Katalox wood from Espen AG in Germany. Martin plans to unveil some new certified models this coming July that will utilize additional certified species.
