Leading Furniture Manufacturer Knoll, Inc. to Produce Furniture Using FSC “Green" Certification
The Forest Stewardship Council-U.S. is pleased to announce that Knoll Inc., the global furniture manufacturer and designer that creates furnishings for the workplace and home, has received FSC Chain-of-Custody certification. In its FSC-certified line of products, Knoll will offer office furniture systems made from particle board, MDF, veneer, solid lumber, and other wood fiber products that come from responsibly-managed forests. The certification was granted by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), for Knoll’s manufacturing plants in East Greenville, PA, Grand Rapids, MI, and Toronto, ON.
For more than 20 years, Knoll, Inc., has demonstrated its concern for the environment, focusing on “green" design, innovative technology and sustainable business. Beyond following environmental laws, Knoll independently takes steps to take less from the earth.
“Knoll can be held up to the rest of the furniture industry as an example of sustainability," said FSC U.S. President Roger Dower. “Knoll’s certification brings a major furniture company to the FSC, and will provide the leadership for other furniture manufacturers to follow suit."

Their products are a great addition to the list of FSC-certified materials on the market today."
