FSC initiates major review process for Chain of Custody standard

FSC is initiating a major review process of the FSC standard for Chain of Custody Certification (FSC-STD-40-004), the main standard for companies that manufacture, process or trade in timber and non-timber forest products. FSC-STD-40-004 was last reviewed and revised in 2007, when version 2 was approved. read more …

US FSC Group Chain-of-Custody Eligibility Requirements

FSC-US initiating first steps to develop National Controlled Wood Risk Assessment

During the 2011 FSC General Assembly, members passed Motion 51, “Strengthening the Controlled Wood System.” This motion stipulated a number of changes to the Controlled Wood system, including a provision that National Offices develop National Controlled Wood Risk Assessments. read more …

Lake States Regional Network Update

The first annual Lake States Regional Network meeting on November 10th, 2011 brought together 33 regional leaders representing the FSC network.
