Welcome Newest Team Members

FSC US is excited to welcome three new members to our team, as well as congratulate three existing team members on promotions!

Welcome to these new team members!

Krystal Taylor
As membership coordinator, Krystal serves as the central point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring a seamless and engaging membership experience. In this role, she manages membership inquiries, oversees accounts receivable, coordinates member communications, and optimizes the database to support efficient operations and meaningful engagement.

Before joining FSC-US, she gained valuable experience working with professional associations and societies, including those for risk managers, road and transportation builders, actuaries, and interior designers. With a proven track record in association management, Krystal specializes in membership recruitment, retention, engagement, and data-driven decision-making.

She holds a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Frostburg State University and a MS in Data Analytics and Visualization from the Maryland Institute College of Art. In her free time, Krystal enjoys spending quality moments with her family and friends, traveling, and trying new cuisines.

Carly Evans
Carly joined FSC in the fall of 2024 as Forest Management Specialist, where she works with the Science and Certification team to develop and implement FSC policies and standards, most especially working on the US Forest Stewardship Standard and its accompanying normative framework. She brings a background in conservation easement management, invasive plant management, and nonprofit conservation program management to her work with FSC.

She holds a Master's in Public Policy with a specialization in Environmental Policy from the University of Georgia. She has served as commissioner on multiple multi-use trail system boards and is eager for more opportunities to increase outdoor recreation and natural resource protection in her area. Carly loves to hike with her two dogs, bike across states during week-long group rides, play soccer on her multiple rec teams, and spends almost all of her free time reading fantasy novels.

Kait Leggett
Kait Leggett is the Promotional License Holder Specialist at FSC US, where she manages promotional license renewals, addresses pricing inquiries, and supports license holders in navigating the FSC trademark. She views her work as a natural extension of her passion for the environment and commitment to its protection.

Prior to joining FSC, Kait developed her skills in education, content development, and marketing through roles as an English instructor at a major university in the Pacific Northwest and as an editorial assistant at a South Carolina-based publishing house. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing and a BA in English. Originally from South Carolina, Kait enjoys spending time with family and exploring the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Appalachia.
