2023 Wood Furniture Scorecard
The 2023 Wood Furniture Scorecard was recently released!
The Wood Furniture Scorecard is an initiative of the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) and the Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC). Its goal is to encourage furniture retailers, big or small, to implement policies that drive responsible wood-sourcing practices through their complex supply chains. The scorecard helps retailers make more responsible wood sourcing choices (FSC-certified or reclaimed wood is rated highest) and informs consumers about which retailers are committed to the health of the world's forests.
This year, 127 North American furniture retailers were scored. The methodology focuses on information available in the public domain on corporate websites regarding wood sourcing policies, goals, and practices.
