FSC Publishes New Trademark Standard for Certificate Holders
On October 1, 2021, FSC published a revised trademark standard, FSC-STD-50-001 (V2-1).
Requirements for use of the FSC trademarks by certificate holders, with changes to the MIX label text and the controlled wood claims are among the updates.
The revised standard will become effective on January 1, 2022.
There will be a transition period lasting 2.5 years (from January 1, 2022 until June 30, 2024) when FSC certificate holders may choose to use the revised version (V2-1) or continue to use the previous version (V2-0).
