Sourcing FSC in Furniture – Upcoming Webinar
On June 23 from 1pm-2pm EST, FSC US is hosting a webinar with the Sustainable Furnishings Council for the furniture industry and furniture industry suppliers.
This one-hour webinar will be a moderated panel discussion with retail and manufacturing leaders in the furniture sector and with FSC-certified industry suppliers.
Join us to hear from David Williams of Williams-Sonoma, Inc., which has been measuring impact of their wood sourcing policies since 2008, and Jameson Dion, of City Furniture which has more recently adopted new tracking mechanisms. Hear about the difference that offering FSC-certified collections is making to their businesses. We will also hear from wood suppliers Amanda Vincent of RoyOMartin, Paul Davis of Columbia Forest Products, and Lee Jimerson of Collins, on challenges they face and how increased demand makes a difference.
Content also includes an overview of SFC's Wood Furniture Scorecard, for which 2021 assessments are underway, and how wood choices are crucial for forest health. Participants will be able to ask questions and are encouraged to engage in open dialogue that will uncover truths and proven techniques to increase FSC-certified furniture options for consumers.
