FSC School to Premiere at Greenbuild ‘09
For the past several years, Terry Campbell of Forest Products Solutions has been a man on a mission: to demonstrate how FSC wood products can be fashioned into our built environment.
First there was the FSC House in 2007, then the FSC Office in 2008.
Now, at the Greenbuild Expo ’09 in Phoenix, Ariz., November 11-13, Campbell will premiere the FSC School (booth #3157). The focus of the FSC School is to inspire architects, interior designers, developers, and other design/construction professionals and demonstrate the importance of wood products that originate in forests where management practices are environmentally sound, socially respectful and economically viable.
According to Mc-Graw Hill Construction, two of the top four building structure groups, dorms and education buildings, have seen the highest percentage of specifications for FSC-certified wood products, 22.4% and 17.4%, respectively, in the past few years. "This strong signal is what drove us to develop the FSC School," says Campbell.
