FSC Again Poised To Make A Strong Showing At Premier Green Building Event
The US Green Building Council’s (USGBC) GreenBuild Conference and Expo continues to be the most significant annual, national event that brings professionals in the commercial and residential building markets to one place to learn about green building products.
The GreenBuild 2004 Expo in Portland, OR, opened its doors to 7,000 attendees from around the North America and the world. GreenBuild Expo 2005 is expected to attract close to 11,000 attendees, and it will be held in Atlanta, GA at the Georgia World Congress Center, from November 9-11, 2005
GreenBuild is a particularly significant event for FSC, as the inclusion of the “FSC certified wood credit” in the LEED certification program has been very influential in driving the demand for FSC-certified products in the building and construction sector.
This year’s GreenBuild will be made even more important for FSC-US as we will be presenting the first annual Designing and Building with FSC Award during the conference (see fscus.org for details).
As in past years, FSC-US and Forest Products Solutions have secured several booths that make-up the “FSC Certified Wood Pavilion,” allowing conference attendees to view and ask questions about FSC certified products in one convenient location at the expo. The Pavilion is a great way to gain exposure for FSC certificate holders at this hugely popular show. The general expo floor has been sold out for months and there is a waiting list of more than fifty companies.
