FSC at the Global Citizen Festival

On September 29th, FSC US attended the Global Citizen Festival in New York City. The Global Citizen organization’s overarching goal is to end extreme poverty by 2030 through a collective global voice. This star-studded event featured actors, activists, politicians, and musicians coming together to raise awareness about a multitude of advocacy issues, ranging from women’s rights to reducing harmful plastics from our natural environment.
FSC hosted a booth at the event to bring awareness of the FSC label to a consumer audience and showcase products that can be purchased from responsibly managed forests. The booth featured products including Procter & Gamble’s Puffs tissues, shoes containing FSC-certified rubber, notepads, and office paper.
It was a great opportunity for FSC to directly engage with consumers to talk about the importance of looking for the FSC label when shopping, as well as to showcase examples of all the companies and organizations that are dedicated to responsibly managed forests day-to-day.
