Climate-Smart Wood Group Event on March 26

February 12, 2020

With our partners Ecotrust, Sustainable Northwest, and Northwest Natural Resource Group, the Forest Stewardship Council is hosting a gathering of the Climate-Smart Wood Group at the Oregon Conservation Center in Portland, Oregon on March 26, 2020.

With a brief program focused on highlighting new momentum in the sector and ample opportunities for networking with peers, the event coincides with the Mass Timber Conference and located within walking distance of the venue.

Held in conjunction with the International Mass Timber Conference, the event is open to architects, builders, developers and owners looking to address the impacts of climate change through use of responsibly sourced wood in construction.

We are very grateful to The Nature Conservancy for hosting us at the beautiful, new Oregon Conservation Center. Constructed from FSC-certified CLT and wood from forest and rangeland restoration, the building is an excellent example of “climate-smart” construction.

If interested in attending, please save Thursday, March 26, 2020 from 5-7pm. Please contact Brad Kahn (b.kahn@us.fsc.org) or sign-up online to be added to the Climate-Smart Wood Group for news and to be kept informed about future events.
