Partner Profile: Wood Products Manufacturers Association

February 26, 2019

With more than 100 FSC-certified businesses in its group certificate, the Wood Products Manufacturers Association works nationally to provide industry knowledge, product sourcing support, and money-saving programs to chain-of-custody businesses.

First incorporated in 1929, the Association was founded by companies to provide a forum for its members to work together to strengthen the secondary wood products industry.

Among the services it offers to members is a discount on FSC Chain-of-Custody certification, as long as the business meets FSC’s requirements for group certification (gross annual sales in forest-related products must be under $5 million).

In addition, the Wood Products Manufacturers Association acts as a clearinghouse for information to support its members, while also providing help with paperwork and preparation for annual audits.

Members of the Wood Products Manufacturers Association are currently located in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
